I’m a dad, and I was tired of the waste we create—especially the kind that piles up quietly, day after day. So I designed a new kind of refillable packaging.
I make yoghurt at home with a simple yoghurt maker. It’s easy, affordable, and I get to control the sugar and skip the preservatives. But every morning, I was still packing my kid’s lunchbox with expensive, non-recyclable yoghurt pouches.
I tried the refillable ones. They were fiddly to fill, frustrating to clean, and after ten uses, the zip lock burst open in my kid’s schoolbag. Not ideal.
So I started looking for a better solution.
That’s when I had the idea: what if I used a large syringe? I modified it so it folds into itself to stay compact, and I designed a cap to seal it tight.
That’s how Koor was born.
